Subject: Web Services -- Updating a membership

 

Hello,

 

I am using the Grouper web services, and I am wondering about the correct approach to take when updating an existing group membership. For instance, say a membership is initially created with no end date, but then at a later time we want to update the membership with an explicit end date.

 

1.       It does not look like there is a specific “update member” type web service. Would it be appropriate to use the “Add member” web service along with the new end date in order to do an update like this?

2.       Would adding a member that already exists reset the membership in any way, such as attributes on the memberships?
