Hi Chris,

 

This would be good to have in WS as well, if it's not too much trouble to add. It's something we would definitely make use of. We have a number of sources, but only one or two make sense as a login ID.

Hey,

 

Someone mentioned in an email or dev call or something that they were worried that if someone registered a netID of GrouperSystem that bad things can happen.

 

I don’t think bad things can happen since if that is a subject in a source then the lookup would give a “too many subjects found” error in the UI and WS.

I added a feature in the UI so that you can specify which courses logins occur from (and g:isa would not be one).  The WS has a place to add a source to disambiguate dupes.  If people want this same feature in the WS I can add it.

 

Fixed in UI 2.3.0 patch #14

 

You can now add this property to the grouper-ui.properties:

 

# comma separated source ids that the authenticating user must be in to authenticate (if blank accept all)

grouper.ui.authentication.sourceIds =
