The ehcache.xml file is migrated to grouper.cache.properties overlays so Grouper packaging can have defaults and overlays. Also so the Grouper team can add caches and be able to patch the defaults without having to merge with a potentially
changed file. Long story short, if you haven’t ever edited the ehcache.xml file, you can install API patch #35. If you do this with the latest grouperInstaller, you are done. If you do this with the current grouperInstaller you have, then you should delete the ehcache.xml and ehcache.example.xml (if you don’t, then you will just get an error in the logs during startup to remind you). If you have edited the ehcache.xml, there is a grouperInstaller admin function to convert those edits to the grouper.cache.properties file. Everything is explained in the link above. Thanks Chris |
