Thanks. I had a small problem with the Sync directions on that page. The first command, subject=SubjectFinder.findById("GrouperSystem"), failed because there was no session for SubjectFinder to use. After I created a session there were no problems.

The general idea is to use it when loading data if your source has subject
identifier instead of subject id. Or when provisioning data if your
target has subject identifier instead of subject id.

I'm trying to choose which of our subject identifiers to use. The
example shows "uid", but I'm thinking of using EPPN since we also have
external users. At Brown the EPPN is

operations" be expanded on? What should I take into account when
choosing the subject identifier?
