Sure, I would just call:

GrouperSession.internal_callbackRootGrouperSession(GrouperSessionHandler grouperSessionHandler)

Grouper uses that strategy often.  For instance, user logs in, Grouper needs to see if it is a root user, needs to check the wheel group.  But that user cant READ the wheel group.  So use a call like above to check.

Thanks,

Chris

Subject: [grouper-users] Grouper Session

Hi,

I have a use case where I need to perform a specific action (Update membership) but the user does not have the direct privilege to do so. I do not want to assign the privilege because there are other actions which will be enabled by that.

What would be the best way to achieve it?

I am thinking that may be I can start a root session and then after performing the required action, I can stop the session.

Thanks,

Vivek
