There have been a bunch of people to register on the demo server in a past couple of days.  I get an email when you register, and when I get that, I will create you a folder.  So all the people who registered recently can go back and see a folder that you can create objects in.  I will do this going forward too.

 

To find your folder, just click on “my folders” on the left in “quick links”

 

Speaking of which, creating a folder for someone and assigning privileges is so much better than the old UI.  Here is a video (with no sound, it speaks for itself):

We have completed a first pass at implementing the new 2.2 Grouper UI, and it is running on the demo server.  The only thing not there is CSRF protection which will be there soon.

 

If you are interested and can help us test, that would be great.  To access the new UI on the demo server, click on the jump page:

You can try to click on the v2.2.0 UI.  If you have an account, you are in.  If not, you need an Incommon account that releases EPPN.  If you have one, you can register.  Otherwise use Google or Facebook for authentication.  Click the “self-register” link next to the v2.2.0 UI in the jump page above.  Once you register, email me and I can add a folder that you can manage so you can create groups etc.

 

We are looking for bugs.  If you see obvious user experience problems we would like to hear about that too.  You can either open a Jira under the component “UI”, or you can email me about any issues

Grouper version 2.2.0 should be released in 4-6 weeks depending on how testing goes.
