That was the design document “This documentation was used during the planning phase”, I updated it.  People couldn’t decide how the purge should work, there were need to make it more complex than just “delete records older than X” (e.g. don’t delete UI audits?  I don’t remember the specifics), so there is no purging right now…  what are your requirements?

Hi,

We we’re wondering if there was an automatic cleanup of User audits and, if so, how long are they kept ?

 

What I could find was that deletion was supposed to be planned “A loader job will delete audit information that is too old (configurable, and 2.0+)” (https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/User+auditing), but could not find specific audit configuration in the loader

 

Maybe it’s one of these config ?

# number of days to retain db logs in table grouperloader_log.  -1 is forever.  default is 7

loader.retain.db.logs.days=7

 

# number of days to retain db rows in grouper_change_log_entry.  -1 is forever.  default is 14

loader.retain.db.change_log_entry.days=14
