Hi,

Using an LDAP source (AD) if I’m doing a search(or using Search in Admin UI), and multiple results have the same Description, only one of them will be shown.

 

Configuration I had :

SubjectID_AttributeType = sAMAccountName

Name_AttributeType = displayName

Description_AttributeType = displayName

 

Search filter =  (&amp; (|(displayName=*%TERM%*) (sAMAccountName=*%TERM%*))  (objectclass=person))

 

Problem use case :

In AD I have these users :

(samaccountName (subject ID) : display name)

 

jdoe1 : John Doe

jdoe2 : John Doe

jdoe3 : John Doe

 

I search for “jdoe”. I expect to see 3 results, but only one John Doe returned. Now if I change “Description_AttributeType = sAMAccountName”, I see all 3 results.

 

My current solution would be to change the description to be something like “Display Name (sAMAccountName)” so every result will be unique, but I find it strange that the search is dropping some results
