I use them in production for a few applications.  TomZ says that they can be provisioned to LDAP (we dont), but Im not sure if anyone is doing that in production.  TomZ can you give more details about it?  Is there an example?

Does anyone have Grouper Roles and Permissions running in production?  Can Role and Permission attributes be provisioned to an LDAP directory?
