There's a duplicate config directive in the default build.properties file that comes with the 2.1.1 source (after running ant and exit):

#Sets value in media.properties. Note that Grouper cannot guarantee that
#ending the session will log the user out of your authentication system!!!
logout.link.show=true

# ... logging & email configuration ...

#Only set to true if you can genuinely logout.
logout.link.show=true
