Yes, that was the problem.  When creating a new group/role the default is Group.  I didn’t catch it the first time.

If it’s a group type, then there is no role inheritance, if it is role type, then there is role inheritance.  Was that the problem?

Looking at the grouper permissions demo: common setup – there is a demo of role inheritance.

 

When I attempt  this on my system, the role inheritance buttons are not visible.  I’m using Grouper v2.0

 

Is there a way to enable this feature?
