And what happens at the Qualtrics end?  You've arranged for different authorization based on the entitlement(s) provided?”

Two answers from the managers of this project:

1.

Partly accounting, but also control and branding. By having different folders the schools and centers can control to some degree who can use the service and how the users of the service can use the service and represent their group.

Some schools and centers elected not to opt in to purchasing the licensing for this service with the vendor so it needs to be restricted to only those who have opted in.

2.

There are 9 Divisions on the Qualtrics site, and based on the grouper group of the person logging in, they will be directed to the appropriate Division.   Folks in a given Division cannot see the other Divisions' users or surveys.  If the Division wants to "brand" their screen, they can work with Qualtrics on that.  Right now they see a Penn logo.

If someone doesn't belong to ANY of the groups, that person should just go to the generic qualtrics.com site.    This is similar to the model in place for the lynda.com license.

The reason there are 9 groups is that those are the entities that are pitching in to cover the cost of the annual license fee.

Thanks,

Chris
