TomZ doesn't Memphis do this? Can you or someone else send out or post on
the wiki an example of a hook that does this? If you don't hear anything,
let me know, and I can give you an example.

Btw, do you want a unique extension, or is there some other algorithm you
would like?

Thanks,
Chris

Subject: [grouper-users] Grouper Hooks - to check for unique groups

Hi:

W.r.t Grouper Hooks in Grouper 1.5.3:
https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Hooks

Can the Grouper hooks be used to validate if new group created has a
unique name? The uniqueness is not necessarily for whole group name
but a subset.

As a relative newcomer to Grouper, getting started on Grouper hooks
requires in-depth understanding of Grouper, your feedback will help
from following in-correct garden paths.

Thanks.
