Well, I really hope you have the grouper.properties settings set to false:
# If true, when a membership is added to a group (either a privilege or a
list member),
# then an update will be made to the lastMembershipChange property for the
group.
groups.updateLastMembershipTime = true
# If true, when a membership is added to a stem (this would be a naming
privilege),
# then an update will be made to the lastMembershipChange property for the
stem.
stems.updateLastMembershipTime = true
If they were false, then set it/them to true, and it should work. This is
the line that does the magic:
Membership.java:
private void processPostMembershipSaveOrUpdate() {
...
// update last_membership_change
updateLastMembershipChangeDuringMembersListUpdate(groupIds);
Note that we didn't want the group last update time to change, or group hooks
fired when membership changes happen, or concurrent modification exception if
multiple VM's are updating memberships on the same group at the same time, so
we don't use hibernate to set the column, we just use an update statement.
Thanks,
Chris

I never see last_membership_change ever getting set. And I don't see
where it might be set in the code. Am I missing something?
