We make use of this extensively in Newcastle university. We have a large internal shibboleth deployment  making use of shibboleth as our internal as well as federated SSO solution. Particular groups picked up are student enrolment on a module  and staff member contribution to teaching of a module.

Hi:

I have read the docs on the IdP extracting Grouper attributes: https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Grouper+and+Shibboleth+Integration

Has anyone use this to have the IdP extract the Grouper attributes from Grouper database? i.e person authenticates in IdP, the person's groups are obtained from the Grouper database.
