Team wants to have option to send SCIM messages and want to talk with Chris about SCIM format options, prospects. Align on where standard is and is going and what Grouper will do with it.

[AI] (DaveL) record ideas about handling categories on the Post PSP Provisioning page (Brown’s case) based on the Feb. 11 Grouper call discussion (TODO)

[AI] (Misagh and Chris)  unmappable character issue using Unicode. see JIRA . Non-english chars don’t seem to render correctly. Chris working on this Grouper internationalization issue

 Where released tarballs should go 

-Got a response from Internet2 Tech Support on this. Issue now solved. 

-Chris emailed Tech Support a reminder  to inform Grouper team of such server changes in future. 

TIER Core Technology Team

- to help advise on architectural processes
- increase alignment between previously independent dev groups (Grouper, Shib, COmanage, etc.)
- Chris will be the point person from Grouper
-Chris received a Google doc to specify the processes currently used for Grouper

Brainstorm on job description elements for replacement  for DaveL on the Grouper Core team

• Java Developer

• Willing to work within the Grouper code base, toolkit, practices:

  • using both ant and maven

  • Java 5 and Java 6

  • logging, auditing, managing configuration

• Ideal to have Grouper deployment/development expertise and familiarity w Grouper typical use cases

• Shibboleth knowledge is useful

• primary focus is on provisioning

  • message based

  • working with SCIM

  • experience provisioning to Google Apps and APIs for other cloud services is a plus

  • LDAP and AD experience is useful

• Communication skills

  • documentation and training skills helpful

• What percentage of time are we looking for? 50+% ?

• Campus-based??

Audit Reporting Issue

• Audit records might be an area where consistency is desired across TIER components

• Grouper has user audit, point in time audit, and audit of every action?

• Configurable level of logging?

• would be good to get more requirements

• Virtual attribute for displayed Subject description

• Audit events: add more high level actions? Import? Export? Others?
