Grouper 2.2 Release Status
- Good progress is being made
- Not quite ready to release Grouper 2.2 on Friday June 20.
-Gail reported that PSU rain into some issues on doing the upgrade testing
Due to other deadlines and priorities, they will not be able to do further testing at this time
-Jim be able to do installation testing during the week of June 23.
-Dave is tracking down an issue with the PSP build.
New release target is end of June for the release.
Open Issues?
Chris reported that Web service tests work, and all the client tests work
The web service samples don't work because of this issue:
-Some of the tests and samples delete the database and recreate everything while the web services are running
-For the type in the attribute framework, it assumes that the undying objects won't change and usually those things don't
change.
-It caches the attribute definitions and names indefinitely.
-But if they do change, it could be a problem. If we select them every 30 seconds it's OK
-This approach makes it work more like the other attribute framework items.
Once that issue is addressed, Chris will do the candidate build and do final testing
-Tom: For future Grouper releases, it would be helpful to look into approaches for automated testing of the UI component
-Selenium IDE is one tool for this.
