Hello,
I have a little Grouper Problem I cannot get fixed. I was already browsing your wiki, tried your search function and was browsing Google but couldn’t find help. I hope you can help me or know someone that can do.
I am just testing the latest Grouper Version. I have installed the new Grouper database on a PostgreSQL database system. I have installed grouper-api, grouper-ui und web services, have also already built it. The web frontend works, as well as the grouper shell.
Now here’s my problem: I wanted to install a wheel group in the way you propose it on https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Initializing+Administration+of+Privileges I have created the group without problems. But each time I want to add a member I get error messages. This is valid for ALL groups, and ALL subjects, not only for the wheel group, and also for the samples that come along with the new database.
Here’s the exact description of the problem: Each time I want to add a member I am told that there is no subject with that id. But I know that there IS a subject with this id, because I have created it just before myself and I can also see it in the table “subject” as well as in the table “grouper_members”. And when I try to create another subject with this id it is said that it already exists. Here’s a screenshot:
This problem I have, like I said before, with each group and each person, also with the samples.
Here’s one of my tries with the samples provided by you:
The correspondent dataset in table “grouper_members”:
And in table “subject”:
Please, can you help me?
Kind regards,
Jutta Biernath
