Regarding the external configs, this Jira had a similar request, I edited it
to reflect what we discussed in the working group meeting. If this is not
what you had in mind please let me know or comment on the jira if you have

Hi Okke,

I've asked that question excacly during the last grouper working group
session @I2SMM and Chris (Hyzer, tech lead for Grouper) and Tom
indicated that was indeed the way things are moving, if I understood
correctly. I've forwarded this email to the grouper-dev list as well
as I think there may be others interested in this. I think Chris and
Tom would be interested in the scripts you have created for SURFnet,
and in the general process of 'mavenizing' Grouper.
