Now, you mention it, I did have a look at that before. However, my
current DB doesn't contain any views at all. Backups of the DB for
previous Grouper version do, I now notice.

        bin/gsh.sh -registry -check 

on the current, view-less DB says 

        database table/object structure (ddl) is up to date

Did something not get initialised or did I just misclick somewhere and
delete all the views?
