Well, the hooks will fire all the time, and in the hook method, you compare
and see if you want to act. If so, act, if not, return.

In the groupHooksBean (given to you by hook method) you can get the group,
and then you can call dbVersion() on the gruop to get the old information, or
dbVersionChangeFields() to get the list of attributes which have changed...
This will work in the preUpdate, and I believe it also works in the
postUpdate, though Im not sure... give it a try. If not, let me know
exactly what you want to do and I can try to make an example.
