[AI] {Kathryn} will do background research on a messaging system to be used as a test/example case for hooks. Discussion Upcoming Grouper Release 1.3.1. Shilen has made substantial progress on fixing GRP-114, the only item outstanding for Grouper release 1.3.1. The remaining work needing to be done for GRP-114 is to create a script to correct membership problems. Shilen expects to finish the work on GRP-114 by August 29, the target date for the Grouper 1.3.1 release. [AI] {Shilen} will move forward with a script to correct membership problems created from issues in GRP-114. https://bugs.internet2.edu/jira/browse/GRP-114 https://bugs.internet2.edu/jira/browse/GRP-156. LDAPPC Provision Scoping What is the best way to allow for provisioning of data to an LDAP directory so as to not interfere with data provisioned from some other source? Summary of the issue is found at https://mail.internet2.edu/wws/arc/grouper-dev/2008-08/msg00018.html See Gary’s diagram on the Grouper wiki at: https://wiki.internet2.edu/confluence/download/attachments/5374/ldappc-scoping.png?version=1 Advantages and disadvantages of using prefixes were discussed. [AI] {Kathryn} will email the group a summary of the discussion on ldappc scoping. See: https://mail.internet2.edu/wws/arc/grouper-dev/2008-08/msg00071.html Binary Builds Should binaries of grouper-api (inclusive of binary exts or utils), grouper-ws, and grouper-ui be included in future releases? https://mail.internet2.edu/wws/arc/grouper-dev/2008-08/msg00058.html TomZ: It would help people trying out Grouper for the first time. Kathryn: It makes sense for API, less sure for UI and web services. Gary: For those who want to do customization, they’d need to go back to using build scripts. [A1] {Chris} will create a proposal for using a shell script to make binaries. Standardizing Ant Build for API, UI and WS Chris suggested standardizing the Ant builds for the Grouper API, UI, and web services, so property files are in the same directory, naming is consistent, etc. Gary commented that between Signet and Grouper and the UI there are differences in the way the build works. It would make sense to standardize across products. [A1] {Chris} will develop guidelines for standardizing build script procedures across the I2 middleware products. https://mail.internet2.edu/wws/arc/grouper-dev/2008-08/msg00073.html Cleaning up Grouper Indexes Chris has added a JIRA issue on cleaning up Grouper indexes. https://bugs.internet2.edu/jira/browse/GRP-146 [A1] {Group} will review and provide thoughts on GRP-146. https://bugs.internet2.edu/jira/browse/GRP-146 Next call: Wed 3-Aug-08 Noon EDT. |
