By the way, I think version 0.3.1 should include a lot more JUnit testing. There’s very little included in the existing code, and I think adding more testing is out of scope for the performance increase I wanted. -K

In line with the discussions on the Grouper dev list, I've checked in my
changes to the subject API and tagged them as SUBJECT_0_3_0_RC1. If people
are okay with it, I'll retag it as SUBJECT_0_3_0.

The changes are:
    * In the JNDI source adapter, escape LDAP filter characters to prevent
      LDAP injection in queries.
    * In the JDBC source adapter, use prepared statements, yielding a very
      significant performance increase.
      * This requires a syntax change in the sources.xml file, so the
sources.xml file included as an example has been updated to reflect
        the new syntax.
      * Error checks have been included to detect old-style syntax.
    * The version in build.xml has been updated to 0.3.0-rc1-cvs.
    * The NEWS.txt file has been updated.

If anyone has any problems with this, let's discuss them. Otherwise, I'm
proposing this as version 0.3.0.

Blair had suggested going to a higher version number than just 0.2.2 since
there's a source syntax change involved. Everyone seemed to agree.
