The virtual machines for the upcoming Grouper Training are now available.

Please check this list to get the IP address, username, and password for your assigned virtual machine: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1F1U3DOJHzKe4A0vyXTF-9s0bNzrAbMKF9ktXD1-2XOg/edit?usp=sharing

Prior to the training, please also follow the steps below to make sure that you can access your virtual machine and that it is working correctly:

  1. Follow the directions here to connect to your VM:
  1. https://spaces.at.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Connecting+to+the+AWS+Training+Environment
Start the RabbitMQ docker image
  1. Run ./start-rabbit-mq.sh:

Example output:

[student@ip-172-31-39-11 ~]$ ./start-rabbitmq.sh

Restarting RabbitMQ

rabbitmq

  1. Run ./gte 101.1.1
  1. You should see a long string of numbers and letters.
Verify that Grouper is running:
  1. docker logs 101.1.1
Navigate to https://localhost:8443/grouper/  and log in with banderson/password.
  1. Note, you may need to allow a few minutes for Grouper to fully start before this link will work.
You should see the Grouper UI

Please reach out to me () if you have any issues connecting to your virtual machine and getting grouper running.

Chris, Bill, Erin, and I will see you all Tuesday morning for class!

Best Regards,
