Hi all,

 

The configuration release finished successfully last week. Testing services are available and any configuration changes will be applied in normal window (within ten minutes) after selecting Review and Submit in eduroam Federation Manager.

 

A reminder – if you make any changes to your eduroam configuration in the Federation Manager portal, you must apply the change by selecting Review and Submit. You will see your status change from Editing to Submitted. The changes will not be live until they are submitted.

When you have eduroam changes, we encourage a short period between editing and submitting. The current portal does not show the changes or allow automatic reversion so if you do not submit soon after making the changes, it’s possible to forget what you were trying to do and leave the site in an editing state. If your site is in an editing state and you’ve forgotten why – no judgment, you can contact and we can assist you.

 

Any change, including adding an address or editing a url, will put the site in an editing state.

 

 

Also - all eduroam administrators have the same access to edit the configuration. We encourage periodic reviewal of that list to remove anyone who should no longer have access.

Subject: eduroam Federation Manager configuration and testing maintenance window

On Thursday, August 14th, there will be a configuration and testing maintenance window for the eduroam Federation Manager. Between 10:30am ET and 12:30pm ET, you will not be able to use the Federation Manager testing services or see the results of your configuration changes. You can make configuration changes and submit them in this time window and they will be captured and submitted after the internal maintenance work is complete. 

 

This maintenance window does not affect eduroam authentications.
