I don't think I can log in to the demo server to check (just tried) - 
but there was a bug in adding extended types introduced when the top 
links moved: the "attr" was not being set when adding a new extended 
type. https://bugs.internet2.edu/jira/browse/CO-1135

This was corrected on Aug 24 and the fix committed:
https://github.com/Internet2/comanage-registry/commit/c7639c629c8dca62b6d0941bdc31e4316a0cf788

Does the demo server have this fix?
