Sounds reasonable to me.
I just made the big breadcrumb commit. It was a little unnerving because I became unconvinced that my local repo was up-to-date with the repository after merging in changes to my local develop.
Q: is "git fetch origin develop" not enough to keep things up to date? I do this prior to every work session expecting to pull all changes from github into my repo. (...rather like an svn update.)
At this point git suggested I do a pull, so I did. The merge is part of my commit. It appears things are in order, but check it out.
(I'm still not convinced I fully grok git.)

The "My Identity" menu (the gear icon and your name in the top bar) seems a bit redundant. My proposal (which I'll implement unless someone objects) is to not link directly to the T&C and NSF Demographics from the top bar. I'm going to move the "Identity >> For CO" links all up to the top level. If someone wants their T&C or NSF Demographics, they can pull their identity and then click the link in the sidebar.
Thoughts?
