Hi folks,

We¹re one week away from the Virtual Working Group meetings, so I thought
I would touch base about publicity and the logistics of how this will work.

PUBLICITY
Please send an invitation/reminder to your working group email list,
telling folks about the Virtual Working Groups. Here are some things to
emphasize:

- This is a different time and has a different purpose than the regular
working group meetings
- This is an opportunity to provide an open house and inform a broader
community about goals, roadmaps, and current work
- We need working group members' attendance to make this concept a success

At the end of this email, you¹ll find a draft of the message I¹ll be
sending to the InCommon participants list and Educause IdM list. It
includes the full agenda and the dial-in info.

AGENDA
If you haven¹t done so already, please add an agenda to the wiki page:
https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/NYBHAg

LOGISTICS
We will use the same Adobe Connect URL and the same phone bridge for all
of the virtual working group meetings.

* https://internet2.adobeconnect.com/iam-online
* 734-615-7474, or

* 866-411-0013 (toll-free in US and Canada)

* PIN: 0157272#

We will record the sessions, so audio will also be available via Adobe
Connect. However, to participate in the voice discussion, people need to
dial in.

SLIDES
I will need your slides by noon (ET) on Friday, May 17. This will give me
time to upload and test all of the slide decks (Adobe Connect sometimes
does goofy things to PPT files). If your working group will have multiple
speakers, please compile your slides into one deck and send that to me.

SPEAKERS
The best sound quality results when you use a land line with the handset
or a headset. We discourage the use of speaker phones, and highly
discourage cell phones (quality is a big issue with cell phones, varying
widely with type of phone and location).

Thanks for your efforts,
Dean

GENERAL PUBLICITY EMAIL

Virtual Working Groups - May 20-21, 2013
https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/NYBHAg

Are you interested in learning more about some of the identity-related
projects and programs? Would you like information about the open-source
software and toolkits related to identity and access management?

The IAM Online webinar series has scheduled a special series of virtual
working group meetings, May 20-21, 2013, to showcase key identity and
access management tools and services.

Think of these as open houses. Working group members will share the
background and provide overviews for the projects, and will host
interactive discussions about current work and plans for the future. Hear
how your campus can benefit, and find out how to get involved.

We will use Adobe Connect for slide-sharing and chat discussions, and a
phone bridge for
participating and posting questions.

Join one or join them all -- there is no charge for any of the sessions.

Monday, May 20 (all times Eastern):
Noon - 1:15 pm - Grouper
1:30 - 2:45 pm - Shibboleth
3:00 - 4:15 pm - Interfederation and CIFER (two separate topics)

Tuesday, May 21 (all times Eastern):
Noon - 1:15 pm - Social Identity
1:30 - 2:45 pm - CoCoA (collaboration platform)
3:00 - 4:15 pm - MACE-DIR

A wiki page includes background information on each of these working
groups, agendas, and dial-in/Adobe Connect information:
https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/NYBHAg

IAM Online is the monthly webinar series sponsored by InCommon, Internet2,
and EDUCAUSE.
