Hi Heather,

These working group sessions would use adobe connect in combination with the Internet2 phone bridge.

TAC is thinking the audience for these will be broader than that at the I2 meetings, so the presentation would likely include an overview/introduction to the software, an update on where things stand now, and what is on the project plan for the immediate future. Some groups have indicated they may also use this as a way to garner more participation in the project.

Does that answer your questions?

Thanks,
Dean

Hi Dean,

A few questions and a note on the timing.

I'm guessing these are going to be some kind of adobeconnect sessions, similar to IAM Online?  Or is it a different model?

Are you thinking of a demo of the COmanage code or just an update?

I will actually be on vacation those dates (May 19 through 25, actually) with minimal access to phone and no access to Internet.  The COmanage dev team will need to talk about what and how we should be presenting at this forum.

Thanks!
heather

Hi Heather,

As you may know, many of the middleware and InCommon working groups won't be meeting at the Internet2 annual meeting in April, given the change in focus and audience of the meeting.

In lieu of that, the InCommon TAC has scheduled two half-days for virtual working group meetings and has asked me to invite COmanage/CoCoA to participate. It is more accurate to call these open houses, rather than working group meetings. The idea is to provide an overview or "greatest hits" of topics, with the goal of doing outreach and broadening the audience (and perhaps participation) in the projects. Is this something that interests you?

The virtual working groups are planned for Monday and Tuesday, May 20-21. There will be three time slots each day, with meetings starting at (all times EDT) Noon, 1:30, and 3:00. I've tentatively scheduled the project for 1:30-2:45 pm on Tuesday, May 21. We'd use the combo Adobe Connect/phone bridge for the meeting.

Please let me know what you think and if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Dean
