Just trying to figure out what the scenario is here...

 is not known to the platform, but you're trying 
to login anyway, so you're expecting a "user known" message or similar 
instead of throwing an error? ie: It's not actually preventing you from 
doing anything? Then why did you need to roll back to 0.7?
