As an FYI, the CIC is going to form a group to consider the issue of faculty/researcher profiles, and looking at VIVO and what role it might play in that will certainly be part of that effort. And we think that thinks like BibApp:
(joint effort between Illinois and Wisconsin/Madison) harvesting and feeding information to something like VIVO will also be a part of the ecosystem.
I don't know how soon that will start and what timeline it will be on, but I'll likely be one of the two folks from Illinois that are a part of that group along with the coordinator of Scholarly Communications from our Library. On Mar 23, 2011, at 11:26 AM, heather flanagan wrote: Hi all -
Single profile is still of some interest, but VIVO seems to be restricted/slow in its adoption. Anyone going to be in the DC area this summer to see what might be happening with VIVO?
