I've put together the first of 3 or 4 mockups, this one based on what a 
typical end user (COllaborator) would see:

I'm hoping the conversation that comes out of this is more oriented to 
functionality than design, but any feedback is good feedback.

I'm proceeding on the assumption that we'll need a platform neutral 
console, and as such something standalone (which may or may not be built 
on top of an existing codebase).  It may have plugins for portal-like 
environments, but we shouldn't assume a portal-like environment.
