Folks,
As I now regularly troll the co.internet2.edu site looking for new folks to subscribe to the collabidm list (using a * search on subjects via grouper), i'm struck by the growing list of people and the lack of scale and appeal of the wildcard search. I would think that as a collabmin, I'd like to see just the folks just in my VO - that is, to have them register for a specific VO space on co.internet2.edu, and have that be the scope of what i see uniformly when i visit my admin functions. not quite a one vo per co instance, but something other than wide open. Any ideas on how we can scope either the appearance or search to a more limited space?
That sounds like listing the members of the VO's primary group. A comanage-specific interface could have that as a one-click operation, as opposed to using the grouper UI to browse through all co groups to find the one you want to list.
The Lite UI in the upcoming grouper release can be opened on a specified group, which could make for a quick prototype of this type of function. Just put the appropriate URL in an interface somewhere (even just an a ref in confluence) - when clicked, the members are listed.
