To expand on this a bit, I focused on getting the use-case with a local idp up and running. This is now mostly working but apache needs a reboot along the way in a few different places that the code isn't properly handling right now (it works fine for the TestShib usecase but not when there is a local ajp connector). There are things like this that keep cropping up. Here is a list of untested or known problematic areas off the top of my head:

* adhoc federation -- should be retested; known to be broken last time I checked but that may have just been the larger "no hostname" issue where the setup cannot go through any of the scenarios properly if there isn't a hostname associated with the VM in the DNS.
* InCommon -- untested; assumed broken since the code seems to rely on knowledge of a wayf to properly configure the SP and wayf information is not in the federations.ini file it relies upon.

* Drupal -- known to be broken. When one goes into the collabmin interface and installs the co-drupal6 package, they would then go to /install/drupal6 which is supposed to finish the drupal installation but fails. However, when carrying out the instructions by hand, drupal does seem to work.
* Sympa -- same as above. Running the installer by hand untested.
* Confluence -- known to be missing steps.

So, here is the immediate plan of attack to get us out of this quagmire:

* [Digant] focus heavily on smoothing out the local idp use-case and then get the adhoc federation use-case working.
* [Chris] Chris has agreed to assist with Confluence. I'm hoping he'll be able to use the working TestShib usecase to write the remaining code to get the Confluence install working.

I will work on this, however, I won't be on the call today.

* [Jon Robertson] As above, use the TestShib use-case and writes patches to the code to get Drupal and Sympa finished
