You are receiving this note because you registered for the upcoming virtual InCommon COmanage Class. Here is some important information to make your experience productive and enjoyable. 

 

By early next week, you will receive calendar invitations that include the Zoom coordinates for the class. You’ll also be invited to join the class Slack channel.

 

Access to Content

This training workshop’s content is hosted in Canvas. Coming soon - use the pinned content in our Slack channel for links to Canvas, Zoom, etc.

 

Please note you may not have access to some of the modules until closer to the course start date! Please let us know if you run into any problems with the process.

 

1. Starting on Wednesday, June 22, log into Canvas:

Please follow these instructions to enroll in the class:

 

1) Begin the enrollment process by navigating to Canvas at https://incommon.org/training

2) Select your Organization, or Google if your organization is not part of InCommon.

3) Login with your organizational credentials

 

 

2. Key Access Dates:

Below is a list of access dates and activities:

 

Tuesday, June 21

• Access to a dedicated Slack channel for the course (feel free to begin chatting right away!)

 

Wednesday, June 22

• Access Canvas
• Log into your VM
• Begin self-paced in Canvas this week (please allocate 4 hours for this) and complete it before we convene on Tuesday, June 28

 

Tuesday - Thursday, June 28 - 30

• Attend the live daily Zoom session from 12:00 – 4:00 ET
• Join the daily optional office hours to ask questions from 4:00 - 5:00 ET

• Note - these sessions will conclude when the conversation dies down, so it may not last the full hour!

Access to course materials in Canvas

 

 

Friday, July 15 

• Access to VM terminates
• Dedicated Slack channel for the course terminates

 

Friday, September 30

• Access to Canvas course materials terminates

You will receive an invitation to join the class’s dedicated Slack channel. This is our primary mode of communication and our instructors watch this channel closely. Please feel free to ask questions there, provide course feedback, or share a picture of your lunch. The options are endless!
