Ah yes, OpenFoam, forgot about that one. Spack has OpenFoam 8 installed. If I remember correctly (perhaps I’m not) OpenFoam is really “one installation pergroup (or person)” given compile time and linking etc. issues.
Anyone compile it recently? Ahh looks like they have a docker image already.

Chris Blanton <> From my experience, OpenFOAM is a good deal of use. My officemate at Penn State developed for it and used it for his wind turbine work. I'm not sure how widespread the use is, but I had some requests for Moose as well, although that was mainly from one group.
I've installed (or attempted to install) the software; however, I've never managed to learn much in the way of CFD due to my background.
