How can it be May already? Finals. Graduation. Summer vacation. Cloud Forum. So much joy just around the corner. I am writing to point out two early May (this week, in fact) deadlines.
May 6 (Tomorrow) The annual State of Cloud Survey closes tomorrow. Please take a few minutes to submit it on behalf of your institution. https://tinyurl.com/cloud-survey25
May 9 (Friday) The Call for Proposals for the 2025 Technology Exchange closes this Friday. Last week, both in person and in calls, I talked with a number of people about submitting proposals. Some came to me with ideas, others I ambushed (in a nice way). There is a lot of good cloud going on, a lot of good stories to share. I know that for many, if not all, of you there is great uncertainty around the next fiscal year. Here’s what I’ve been telling people like you with good stories to share at TechEX. First, I absolutely do not speak for the I2 Events team, but I will say that, as an organization, we are trying to be adaptable to help schools deal with the impacts of the budget crunch. I would not say that it is impossible that they will come up with creative solutions to travel constraints for TechEX. I would encourage you to submit your proposal(s) anyway. The worst that could happen is you have to decline an invitation. So please consider submitting an idea or two and we’ll see how things shake out.
So, take few minutes to reflect on what you’ve good cooking in your cloud world, and serve up a dish for the rest of us!
