Colleagues,

 

There are a number of things going on with GCP and the NET+ GCP program, starting with this week’s Google NEXT event. We have two ways to engage with the event and I encourage you to share this with your colleagues.

  1. Google Cloud NEXT keynote watch party – The Opening Keynote for Google NEXT starts at 9am PDT/12pm EDT on Wednesday of this week. If you’d like to watch it live, why not do it with a group of colleagues, play a little keynote keyword bingo, and maybe win prizes? Here’s how:
  1. Register for the keynote live stream: Go to https://cloud.withgoogle.com/next/25/plan-your-trip#tickets, scroll to the bottom and register for Digital
  2. Join the Slack workspace: If you are not part of CCCG Slack (first, why not) go here to sign up.
  3. Join the #cloud-watch-party channel and show up at 9am PDT/12pm EDT on April 9 to get your bingo card and join the kibitzing and commentary as community members watch together.
NET+ GCP Town Hall: Google NEXT R&E Recap – Can’t make the conference? Can’t make the keynote watch party? Don’t want to sift through all the TechCrunch analysis? Just want the TL;DR? Join your NET+ GCP and CICP peers to hear from Google’s Jeff Nessen for a recounting of all the news you might use coming out of NEXT.

But wait! There’s more. We will also be joined by Google Industry Executive, Rapid Innovation for Education and Research, Adam Deer for some really interesting news about a smokin’ new Cloud GPU / TPU Acceleration Program for public sector customers. [See this announcement from Carnegie Mellon University, one of the first schools on the program.] This is a really impressive deal on dedicated GPUs for your researchers. You’ll want to hear this man out.
