The Internet2 CLASS program has a couple of AWS courses coming up and I want to tell you a couple of things about them. I also want to remind you about the CLASS Vouchers that have been issued to all CICP schools in good standing which you can apply to sending people to these courses.

 

• Both courses are taught by current or former members of the community. James Smith (AWS Security) is at Notre Dame. Chris Kuehn (AWS Solutions Architect Associate) was at Illinois before going to AWS to be a Solutions Architect.
• Both courses leverage training materials that allow you to work at your own time and pace and also bring the group together to share questions, experiences, and discuss how what you learn maps to your institutional realities. They help you apply what you are learning right to your job.
• Both courses have been taught multiple times and have left people asking for me. That is to say, they were quite well received. You will not only learn valuable information and skills, but you will increase your professional network with peers from other institutions.
