I am writing to follow up this email with a few details. While I will send a calendar invitation to the CICP subscriber list (including the NET+ AWS list) there are many on this email from those institutions are not on those lists. For them I want to send a quick reminder with the details as well as the registration link. When you register, Zoom will send a calendar invite.

One quick note: I’ve heard from some that they will be unable to attend because this conflicts with the SC24 conference. I’ve checked with the presenters and rather than record this event, we’d like to collect interest for a repeat session in the spring. If you are unable to make it, but are interested in an alternative date, please reply back to this email and let me know. I will capture those names and, should there be sufficient interest, we will schedule a second meeting.

I also commend these resources to you. If you are attending, please be sure to pay particular attention to the prerequisites list in the GitHub repo. That work must be done prior to attending this event.

Back in July, Vanderbilt’s Dr. Jules White joined the NET+ AWS program for a town hall presentation of the Amplify GenAI project. We had a great turnout and it generated a lot of buzz. A lot of that buzz was essentially, “That’s amazing! How do I get my own?” Well, I’m happy to say that the Vanderbilt team has agreed to lead us through a CICP community barn-raising. We are all going to come together to learn how to install Amplify GenAI in our own environments.

As you might imagine, this isn’t a simple one-click install. Consequently, this is not a simple one-hour Zoom webinar. It will be a full hands-on session. This email is a request for you to save the date/time. Full details, including a list of what you need to do beforehand (like designate an account to put it in) will be sent out with an official calendar hold and registration link next week. For now, here are the basics so you can block out the time.
