Hello and thank you for registering for the 2020 Virtual BaseCAMP. This is an update on BaseCAMP plans and information you need to know.

Canvas Access

BaseCAMP will take place on Canvas (incommon.org/basecamp, but don’t use the URL yet because you won’t have access). We plan to open the gates to BaseCAMPers on Wednesday, July 15, when we’ll distribute log-in information for Canvas.

Some counselors may have pre-reads (WHAT! No one said there would be homework!). If that’s the case, we will point those out and they will be downloadable from Canvas.

Zoom is integrated with Canvas, so that will be your one-stop-shop for BaseCAMP. All sessions will be live and recorded, slide decks will be posted, and you will have access to the recordings for the next 12 months.

Preparing for BaseCAMP

Start: Monday, July 20, 2020; Noon ET | 11 am CT | 10 am MT | 9 am PT

BaseCAMP will operate for four hours each day, Monday - Friday inclusive, July 20-24. Reveille at noon ET each day (11 am CT | 10 am MT | 9 am PT). Taps at 4 pm ET (3 pm CT | 2 pm MT | 1 pm PT). We suggest arriving a few minutes early each day, so you are ready to roll. The half-days also allow you to get your work done for part of the day and be fully present during BaseCAMP.

BaseCAMP will close at 4 pm ET Friday; make sure to police your area before leaving!

Check out the BaseCAMP agenda

Prior to the meeting, review the BaseCAMP schedule and topics. Giving some thought to the topics and coming armed with questions will make your experience that much more valuable.

Dress

BaseCAMP is a workshop; dress is casual. Hawaiian shirts optional. Shorts and slippers are OK (because, really, who will know?).

CAMP Fires

Each day will end with CAMP Fires - small groups to discuss questions, needed clarifications, and any IAM challenges you would bring to the circle. Counselors will be available at each CAMP Fire. BYOS (Bring Your Own S’more)
