BaseCAMP 2024 Starts Tomorrow!

 

Hello BaseCAMPers:

 

Just a final reminder that BaseCAMP starts tomorrow, Monday, June 3 at Noon ET. Join us at 11:30am to get to know your fellow campers and have a little fun!  

 

Fuel Up & Scavenger Hunt!

Join early and get in on the fun! Beginning at 11:30 am every day grab a cup of coffee and hangout and get to know your fellow CAMPers before sessions kick off at 12pm. Thanks to our sponsors - Omnibond and Provision IAM - attendees who join this session will be entered into a daily drawing to win a $20 DoorDash gift card! Plus, check the BaseCAMP 2024 Slack channel at 11:30 am ET on Monday morning for our first SCAVENGER HUNT! Each day we will post 5 camping-related items that you can hopefully find around your home. The first to post a selfie(s) in the Slack channel with all 5 items will win a prize! 

 

Introducing The Trivia Traverse

Get ready to push your knowledge to the limit in the Trivia Traverse! This year we will be hosting a live trivia game during one break Tuesday-Thursday. We’ll ask a mix of IAM and general knowledge questions. Everyone who plays the game that day will be entered into a raffle for a gift card. 5 players will win a gift card each day. Play everyday for more chances to win!

Accessing BaseCAMP: Conference Tools

Your access to BaseCAMP is through Canvas. You should have completed a registration process to gain access to Canvas, so please verify your access ASAP. 

 

In Canvas, click on the heading for each day on the BaseCAMP course home page. These lead to the daily itineraries, corresponding links to the Zoom room for each session, and session descriptions and materials that will be posted later. Note that we’ve scheduled plenty of breaks throughout BaseCAMP to give you time to stretch and get ready for the next session. 

 

Need help?

1. If you cannot get into Canvas please email   and someone will get back to you quickly. Please include BaseCAMP in the subject line.
2. If you are in Canvas and have issues with logistics or accessing any content within Canvas, or any other general BaseCAMP questions please ping the Slack channel and we’ll be happy to help.
3. If you are in a BaseCAMP Zoom room, please feel free to ask questions related to that session within the Zoom chat.

The BaseCAMP Slack channel is an important way to stay connected throughout the week. It’s a place where you’ll get any updates about the program, chat with others, or ask questions about logistics…plus all of the fun stuff. Stay tuned in here.

 

Lingo

At BaseCAMP, our presenters will do their best to unravel the mysteries of IAM lingo and acronyms. But if you hear a term that leaves you scratching your head, don't fret - Slack it! Simply enter #BCLingo into Slack followed by the word or term you're unsure about. We'll provide you with an answer.  And hey, if you spot a term you're familiar with, jump in and contribute to the answers. Together, we'll compile a handy resource for everyone.

 

BaseCAMP Survival Guide

Within the BaseCAMP course in Canvas, there is a link to the BaseCAMP Survival Guide to help you find your way around. It includes a high-level overview of some common concepts, terms, and acronyms you may come across.

 

What are CAMP Fires?

After a day of learning, join in one of BaseCAMP’s virtual CAMP Fires, Monday-Thursday from 3:40-4:40pm ET to connect, share knowledge, and problem-solve together. Whether you're discussing best practices for implementing TAP components, exploring how to build your IAM roadmap, or sharing ghost stories about IAM implementations, CAMP Fires are a great way to connect with your peers for connection and camaraderie in a more casual way.

 

Session Recordings

All sessions will be recorded and available in Canvas within two weeks after BaseCAMP ends. You’ll have access to these recordings and Canvas through the end of the year.
