AI innovation accelerator

Hello everyone!

Just a quick reminder that the Innovation Accelerator meeting is this Thursday, August 14 at 3pm EST to discuss the Model Context Protocol (MCP).  We'll be on this Zoom link.

We have some confirmed contributions from folks who have been working with MCP:

• Fermin Romero III, Application Development Manager at Cornell University, will talk about an MCP he built to access their campus groups database.

• Karl Newell, Network Software Architect at Internet2, will share his experience building an MCP server around their Insight Console Looking Glass API.

• Nate Summers, Developer 2 at the University of Idaho, will discuss his use of the GitHub MCP server for SDLC automation and the Playwright MCP server.

We are always looking for future contributions! If you have any experiences with MCP or other topics that you'd be up for sharing in a future discussion, please let me know.  Current topics of interest: experiences working with OpenAI (enterprise or other), agents, or legacy code conversion -- or whatever you're working on!

BTW -- many apologies if moved/deleted sessions are staying, zombie-like, on your calendars. I'm trying to diagnose the root cause!
